Inspire aims to broaden access to community music by working in partnership with local support organisations in Edinburgh to offer opportunities for people to take part in music who might not otherwise get the chance to do this.

Inspire goes out to meet people on their own turf and on their own terms, with a team of community music tutors working in a range of settings, from more formal music groups to drop-in sessions in cafés. Our partners have included The Alma Project, Barony Contact Point, The Bethany Christian Trust, Cunningham House Hostel, The Cyrenians, The Hive (SAMH), The Rock Trust, The Serenity Café and The Stafford Centre. Inspire now has its own choir, made up of people coming from different partner projects.

During Inspire 3 we produced the Inspire Songbook, featuring songs written during the project – you can download your own copy here, and listen to many of the songs here.

Our Inspire 3 project is just coming to an end, and we hope to be back with Inspire 4 very soon.
